WAFERS
Objects have their system of signs and their syntax, but boredom has its own system, too. Thoughtless symbols imposed on things that are concrete and recognizable can also develop their own interrelations. The relation between these elements is as mysterious as the relation between the visible and something that is only about to get its visibility.
OPŁATKI
Przedmioty mają swój system znaków i wypracowaną przez nie składnię, nuda też. Bezmyślne znaki nałożone na to co konkretne i rozpoznawalne rozbudowują zależności. Relacja między tymi elementami jest równie tajemnicza jak miedzy spotkaniem w jednym miejscu tego co widzialne z tym co dopiero dostanie swoją widzialność.
BOWNIK
graduated in Philosophy from the Marii Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and in Photography from the Academy of Arts in Poznań. His best known works include the photographic series Gamers, E-Słodowy, Koleżanki i koledzy, Disassembly, and Rewers. The authorial photobook entitled Disassembly, published by Mundin, won the main prize in the competition Fotograficzna Publikacja Roku 2014 and received nomination for the Kassel Photobook Award 2014. Bownik’s works may be found in the collections of e.g. Museum In Huis Marseille in Amsterdam, ING Polish Art Foundation, as well as in private collections.
BOWNIK
– absolwent filozofii na lubelskim Uniwersytecie Marii Curie- Skłodowskiej oraz fotografii w Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Poznaniu. Do najbardziej znanych prac artysty należą fotograficzne cykle: Gamers, E- Słodowy, Koleżanki i koledzy, Disassembly, Rewers. Fotograficzna książka autorska Disassembly, wydana przez wydawnictwo Mundin, otrzymała główną nagrodę w konkursie Fotograficzna Publikacja Roku 2014 oraz została nominowana do Kassel Photobook Award 2014. Prace Bownika znajdują się w kolekcjach min. Museum In Huis Marseille w Amsterdamie, Fundacji Sztuki Polskiej ING, a także w zbiorach prywatnych.
